Anindya Purakayastha is a Professor at the School of Translation and Cultural Studies, ILSR Kolkata. He was the 2021 Charles Wallace India Trust Translation Fellow of the British Centre for Literary Translation, University of East Anglia. UK. Prof. Purakayastha is the 2025 Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Research in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Cambridge and a visiting researcher at the Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris. He is currently working with Liesl Schwabe to translate a book of poems of Bengali poet, Sankha Ghosh.
