Thejaswi Shivanand currently works with children and adults in school and community libraries and non-profit organizations across India to understand and support learning in those spaces. He has a deep engagement in the related field of children’s literature where he has contributed scholarly articles, edited children’s books, mentored writers and translators of children’s books, and been on panels for several national level awards on children’s literature. He worked in an alternative school near Bangalore for 15 years as an educator in science, mathematics, natural history and libraries. He continues to work with reading programmes for children and adults at the Champaca Bookstore and Children’s Library based in Bangalore.
